Appeareance: Karamatsu, like the rest of his siblings, is pretty plain. Kind of short, being both Japanese and prematurely born, but otherwise pretty average. None of them are particularly outstanding in any way physically; Karamatsu is a minor exception, in that he has somewhat remarkable eyebrows. However, unlike mnost of his brothers (the youngest, Todomatsu, being the only exception), Karamatsu puts a great deal of stock into his appearance.
History:
Karamatsu was born into a family of modest prestige; a father with a title, an alive mother, an older brother set to inherit the family fortune and a younger sister of age to be married off. With all his whims catered to and his life generally one of ease, what could he possibly want for?

Well, attention, mostly.

While his father raised his older brother and groomed him to be the heir that their father desired, and his little sister was groomed and educated on how to be a good wife, Karamatsu was the awkward middle child, left alone to his own devices. When they were all younger it wasn't much of an issue, but as they entered their teens, Karamatsu found himself increasingly alone and lonely. He tried hanging around with their small cache of servants, both participating in their activities and simply sitting and watching them do their things (and, as a very visual learner, picked up a lot of tips on how to prepare meat dishes), but eventually the awkwardness of the servants and his father's increasing frustration at his son wasting time with such low company forced him back into solitude. So, he'd leave their small mansion, going for walks or riding the horse around the grounds, when he happened upon a troupe of actors passing by.

He took the chance to talk to them, and immediately fell in love with their cause. To bring the stories he adored to life on-stage, to be part of an entirely new world, night after night... his overly romantic brain latched onto the idea like a tick, and he began frequenting the city more and more frequently to follow the troupe's performances. It wasn't long before he knew all of their plays by heart, possibly even better than the actors themselves knew them. He would throw money and supplies at them so that they could continue their shows, and eventually was even invited to join them on-stage, where he took to it like a fish to water. His parents eventually found out, but were highly displeased with Karamatsu. A man of his stature shouldn't be stooping so low as to be acting, they said, and kicked him out of their house until he could prove he could be a decent son.

So he ran away with the circus theatre troupe.

Reason for coming to Lethevale: He had what he believes was a prophetic dream (it certainly was a paranormal one) about a young woman of such unsurpassing beauty that he instantly fell in love with her. He doesn't know anything else about her, or even fully remember what she looks like, but the one thing he does know for certain is that she's in Lethevale, and that he is going to try and make her his bride.
